What is a doula?
In ancient times, women were surrounded by other women in birth; held, honoured, and witnessed as they crossed the sacred threshold into motherhood. A doula carries the essence of that tradition into the modern world.
The word doula means "woman who serves," but what I offer is so much more than service. I walk beside you through the liminal space of pregnancy, birth, and new motherhood, offering not advice, but presence.
